Seniors with Therapy Animals!

Compass Hospice is looking for Certified Pet Therapy Animals to visit our patients. Do you have a dog or cat that qualifies? If you want to brighten the the last days of someone's life, then this could be for you and your Therapy Pet!

Compassionate Volunteers are at the heart of Interim Hospice's mission. Compass Hospice's philosophy is to improve the quality of life when quantitiy is limited.

We provide training and support for you as a Volunteer. Volunteering can be done during the day, evenings or weekends. Volunteer for an hour or more each week and make a lifelong impact on someone with your Cerified Pet Therapy Animal.

Compass Hospice provides an individualized program of physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical care for people in the last phases of a life-limiting illness, with an emphasis on control of pain and other symptoms. The program is reflective of a spirit and idea of caring that emphasizes comfort and dignity for the dying, making it possible for them to remain independent for as long as possible, and in familiar surroundings.

Volunteers provide important services to the people they serve in our community.

Who makes a good Volunteer? Anyone with the compassion for people.

What does a Volunteer do? Provides companionship to a person in the final months and weeks of life. Offers support to family members and caregivers. Helps with community outreach. Bereavement support. Administrative assistance in the Compass Hospice office. Creating, crafting, using your talents for events.

As a Hospice volunteer you will be given the choice as to how much and what types of things you want to do.

Why volunteer? Immeasurable reward, you WILL make a difference in someone's life, life long gratification of knowing you were a part of something bigger, somone needs you, We need you!
