Mission Statement

Compass Hospice provides an individualized program of physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical care for people in the last phases of a life-limiting illness, with an emphasis on control of pain and other symptoms. The program is reflective of a spirit and idea of caring that emphasizes comfort and dignity for the dying, making it possible for them to remain independent for as long as possible, and in familiar surroundings.

Volunteers provide important services to the people they serve in our community.

Who makes a good Volunteer? Anyone with the compassion for people.

What does a Volunteer do? Provides companionship to a person in the final months and weeks of life. Offers support to family members and caregivers. Helps with community outreach. Bereavement support. Administrative assistance in the Compass Hospice office. Creating, crafting, using your talents for events.

As a Hospice volunteer you will be given the choice as to how much and what types of things you want to do.

Why volunteer? Immeasurable reward, you WILL make a difference in someone's life, life long gratification of knowing you were a part of something bigger, somone needs you, We need you!

Interim is taking the time to develop an integrated team of medical, administrative, social and spiritual support for its patients and their families. They demonstrate real understanding and expertise as they extend friendship and comfort in accordance to their patients' needs and circumstances.
