ORGANIZATION: LifePath Hospice, Inc.

Make a difference in your life and the life of others. LifePath Hospice is seeking volunteers with therapy dogs to visit patients in their homes and our hospice houses.

Our patients benefit greatly from visits from Therapy Pets. If your dog is certified, or has a Good Canine Citizenship certification, this is a wonderful way for you both to get involved in the community. The smiles that you and your pet bring to patients and families is a gift beyond measure.

We are seeking Pet volunteers in our two Hospice Houses located in Temple Terrace or Sun City Center. Schedules are completely flexible and available 7 days a week. If you are interested - please fill out an online application at www.ChaptersHealth.org located under the VOLUNTEER tab.

Description

LifePath Hospice offers guidance and support to individuals with life-limiting illnesses and their families as they travel on a new and unfamiliar path of life. With the assistance of medical professionals, counselors, clergy and trained volunteers, patients and families are cared for and educated on end-of-life issues in order to make this final journey as peaceful and comfortable as possible.
