The 2016 Shamrock Fitness Fair, will be held at the Oregon Convention Center, Oregon Ballroom, Friday and Saturday, March 11 and 12, 2016. We are in need of 140 volunteers to signup ASAP. Volunteer efforts benefit Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
Here are some basic requirements:
ALL workers must be ages 16 and older, able to work independently and professionally, and meet the requirements listed below. Workers cannot bring pets or small children as that will affect the ability to focus and provide services to the event. Volunteer shirts will be provided.
Tasks may include:
Sitting or standing (chairs will be provided) to assist distribution:Bib numbers, t-shirts, merchandise.
Standing, walking, light lifting and organizing
Alphabetical knowledge and ease with handling & reading paperwork, names & numbers
Skills necessary: Reading, writing, alphabetizing, fluent in English, quick study, personable, troubleshooting and ability to respond to timelines and/or time sensitive issues.
FRI., MARCH 11 - SHAMROCK FITNESS FAIR.
AM Shift 10:30 - 3:00 p.m. 35 Assist with number pick-up
PM shift 2:45 - 7:00 p.m. 35 " " and other tasks
SAT, MARCH 12
AM Shift 8:45-1:00 p.m. 35 Assist with number pick-up
PM Shift 12:45 -5:00 p.m. 35 " " and other tasks/move-out
(you are welcome to stay the entire day/both shifts)

WOMEN FOR CHILDREN is a great group of women from all walks of life. We are mothers, daughters, grandmothers, students, career women and everything in between. We are passionate about the health and care of the kids at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Some of us have had a personal experience with Doernbecher, others not, but we all strive for the same thing - making sure children from our own community receive the very best care that they deserve.
FRIENDS OF DOERNBECHER is a volunteer organization dedicated to the long-term support of the hospital. Together, we’ve raised millions of dollars over the past decade to help build the hospital and support its critical programs. Volunteers form chapters, and choose one or more fundraising projects a year that they would like to work on together. These events not only raise money for Doernbecher, they also raise public awareness about the hospital itself. Our members decide how much time they can commit and how large their events will be. They are passionate about the on-going support of the hospital.
