A Geneaology Researcher volunteer will assist library staff/patrons in gathering background information in support of library programs and services. Conduct research on neighborhood history, demographics, and resources.
Activities
1. Conduct research using, as needed: print and online sources, museums, other libraries, and interviews.
2. Collect and organize source material.
3. Summarize findings for library staff.
Desired Qualities
1. Minimum age: 16
2. Works well independently.
3. Proficiency with research techniques.
4. Good written communication skills.
Training and support will be provided.
Time Commitment
3 months, 2 hours a week
