The homework center is a very helpful place for students who really need the help with their homework. Not only that but they can let you print our your project and do so much more!

Reading is my passion, and stay around books make me happy and volunteering have to be in a Library. I have never been volunteering an any kind. Now I have time to give to the Society, will be a good reason to do.

I volunteered at the SD central library for two years and enjoyed it very much. I specifically worked in the Wangenheim Room and was surrounded by amazing book and art. Many people who entered the room were completely unaware of its existence. My primary responsibility was to raise awareness of the room and provide a short tour. The staff at the library are kind, generous and extremely knowledgeable. It was always a pleasure seeing them all. In short, this was a very rewarding experience. I would still be volunteering there if my work situation had remained the same.

I was contacted right away and went in for an informational interview. Within two weeks I was ready to start volunteering on a regular basis and I have been loving it! The voulnteer staff provides you with all the training you need and there is always someone around to help if needed. One voulnteer/docent has been there for @ 20 years! It is a fantastic opportunity and I'm glad to be a part of it.
