Light the Night, Holiday Blood Drive Volunteer

Department/Program: Light the Night

Staff Partner: Anna Baniak, Sr. Manager, LTN--- Corporate Relationships

Overview: With the holiday season here, tis the season for giving! The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has teamed up with Heartland Blood Centers for a blood drive during their 12 Days of Giving. Help us give the gift of life, to those needing lifesaving blood transfusions!

Responsibilities:

  • Man tables/booths throughout the mall
  • Invite shoppers to join the blood drive & answer any questions they may have
  • Register new and returning blood donors
  • Lead them to the blood donation location

Specific Skills or Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills
  • Outgoing and friendly demeanor
  • Must be comfortable walking for extended periods of time
  • Must be 18+ years old

Training/Orientation Provided:

  • LLS staff will train you on each of the tasks, and will be available for any questions.

Hours: This is a one-time event on Monday December 21, 2015.

  • Shift 1-- 11:00am- 3:30pm
  • Shift 2-- 3:30pm-8:00pm.

Impact: The Holiday Blood Drive volunteers will be assisting in Heartland Blood Centers expanding their network of donors, which increases the amount of blood donations that can save a life of blood cancer patients and more!
