A Free Bird is a 501(C)(3)non-profit organization based in New York City. Our focus is to provide children, ages 4-18 who are patients or survivors of juvenile cancer, the opportunity to explore their artistic passions and give them the strength to fight their disease. We believe that artistic expression is critical for healing! A Free Bird supports children affected by cancer in their exploration of art, music, acting, poetry, writing, singing and any other artistic passion they may have.

Overall Responsibilities:

Assess, repair, and maintain organization’s computer systems and databases.

Responsibilities:

-Install, configure, and update company computers software, programs, and databases.

-Check for viruses and install firewalls.

-Assist with diagnosing and resolving any computer related issues.

-Reviewing and attending to internal help requests and problems and providing daily computer support.

-Monitoring computer performances and managing servers and database to restore data and troubleshoot workstations.

-Checking for potential problems in organizational networks.

Qualifications:

-Familiarity with both Windows and Mac systems.

-Background in Computer Science or Information Science.

-Competency with math and software development.

-Understand and create solutions to end user problems.

-Understand and be able to use technical language to communicate with other IT professionals.
