We are beginning our volunteer program with openings in our Partnership Department, which includes communications, membership, and development. Depending on interest, ability, and program need, volunteers may help with mailings, assist at events, lead nature walks, or develop programs of interest to Alaskans and tourists alike.

Description
Alaska Geographic originated in 1959 when Mt. McKinley National Park staff formed Alaska’s first education programs to teach visitors about the park’s cultural and natural history. Today we are the nonprofit supporter to dozens of Alaska’s parks, forests, and refuges. Our education programs have increasingly focused on Alaskan youth, fostering healthy lifestyles, employment potential, and instilling a lifelong love for Alaska.
