Alaska Geographic connects people to Alaska's magnificent parks, forests, and refuges because we believe inspired people become lifelong stewards of our wildest places.

Description

Alaska Geographic originated in 1959 when Mt. McKinley National Park staff formed Alaska’s first education programs to teach visitors about the park’s cultural and natural history. Today we are the nonprofit supporter to dozens of Alaska’s parks, forests, and refuges. Our education programs have increasingly focused on Alaskan youth, fostering healthy lifestyles, employment potential, and instilling a lifelong love for Alaska.
