PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Professional health support for disaster sites
OPEN TIME DAYS
Everyone has a choice of how involved they want to be at anytime. Taking the basic course work to be a Red Cross volunteer only takes a few hours. The Health Services Response Workshop is also required. This may be done live at the chapter or in an online course. Information changes, so a refresher may be needed before one is deployed to a national or local disater. Many members want to stay in our volunteer base, even though they are currently unable to committ to traveling to a disater area.⦆These people⦆ want to be ready in the event a disater strikes here at home and many workers are needed.
