PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Red Cross Client Caseworkers provide assistance to dinviduals and families affected by local emergencies and disasters.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Three hours a week minimum with potential on-call shifts.
REQUIRED TRAININGAmerican Red Cross Trainings:
- Shelter Fundamentals (online)
- Psychological First Aid
- Basic Food Safety (online)
- Serving People with Functional and Access Needs (online)
- Client Casework: Providing Emergency Assistance (online)
- CAS Basics; CAS: Create a Client Case; CAS: Needs and Assistance (online)
- Client Casework Cards (online)
- Safe & Well Linking Overview (online)
These classes must be completed within six months of placement. Until completion of these courses, position may be completed in a supervised \"Trainee\" capacity.
