For the Love of Pits is in need of people to open their homes and host one of our deserving pit bulls. Often, the dogs we rescue have never experienced the kindness of humans. Your generosity will provide young and old, injured and sick, scared, abused and under-socialized dogs a chance to grow, heal and experience the kindness of humans before finding their forever homes.
For the Love of Pits is responsible for medical expenses, monthly heartworm preventative, the cost of one obedience class, and For the Love of Pits will provide to fosters a crate for the dog, blankets and toys.
Fostering is so rewarding! If you are thinking about fostering for For the Love of Pits, here's a brief description of the foster process:
- Discuss fostering with all people living in your home to ensure everyone is on board.
- Complete and submit the Foster Home Application at: http://www.fortheloveofpits.org/foster/application.htm
- Attend orientation and a training session.
- Speak with one of our foster home coordinators for additional screening and to ensure the placement of a suitable match.
We hope to hear from you soon!

Mission Statement
Our mission is to restore, preserve and protect the prestigious legacy of the pit bull dog, and to improve the environment in which pit bulls and their owners live.
Description
For the Love of Pits is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization run exclusively by volunteers. We focus our rescue efforts on homeless, abandoned, abused and/or neglected pit bulls. The dogs we rescue often have experienced the most horrific abuse at the hands of, or severe neglect by, humans. We are funded solely by donations and rely on the generosity of private supports to help us continue saving the lives of these misunderstood dogs.
