For the Love of Pits®

For the Love of Pits is an amazing organization. My husband and I were introduced to FTLOPs when we were looking for our first dog. We both knew very little about this breed or dogs in general. We were given outstanding support, education, and resources from someone who is extremely knowledgeable. We were able to foster a wonderful dog who completely changed our lives. We also had the the opportunity to become directly involved with this organization by helping with adoption events which we truly enjoyed. We were able to meet some amazing dogs, some wonderful people, and we always had a fun time! I have never been part of such a supportive group and had I not volunteered with For the Love of Pits I never would have met so many great people or dogs. I have learned so many great and useful things about dogs and pit bulls from my experiences with FTLOPs. I am so grateful for the opportunities that they have given me.

My fiance & I currently volunteer & foster with For the Love of Pits. We began with FTLOP in 2013 & from the beginning, FTLOP has given us an abundance of information, guidance, & unwavering support. I came into the rescue not knowing a whole lot about dog behavior, training or the like. Only that I love dogs! Through FTLOP & its volunteers, I have learned so much & continue to learn each day. The amount of love & care they give these dogs is unmatched. I have personally seen a number of dogs require extensive hospitalization or surgeries & FTLOP doesn't hesitate to act on the judgement of the doctors to save the dogs. One of our foster dogs was hospitalized, not once did anyone think about turning their backs on her or not giving her the best care possible. She has made a full recovery! FTLOP is also rather selective with their adopters. For this I am thankful. It means that our dogs will be in the absolute, best home for the dog. I highly recommend FTLOP & everything they do!
