BECOME A CARR CENTER DOCENT
Our 2015 Fall Performance Season starts in October: jazz, opera, gospel, classical and music theater. We need volunteers to serve as
- Greeters
- Ushers
- Box Office Support and
- All Around Event Hosts. It's up to you.
Performances happen during both weekdays and week-ends; majority of the events are in the evenings, but there are a few day-time events for students groups. Choose to volunteer for 1 event or several. Again, it's up to you.
- Learn and share the history of the historic Harmonie Club building (National Historic Register)
- Get inside information on the art and artists
- Get the advanced scoop on all the performances
- PLUS behind the scenes access including table readings, dress rehearsals and more!

The Carr Center is a multidisciplinary cultural arts center in downtown Detroit that brings high quality arts experiences and arts education to the metro-Detroit community and through its web-casting provides global transmission of Detroit's art and culture. Our purpose is to provide educational opportunities for students of the arts, bring high-quality artistic experiences to broad-based audiences and support artists in the creation and presentation of their work.
