Town Cats of Morgan Hill, a no-kill cat shelter, seeks a part-time volunteer Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director. Town Cats works to save homeless cats and care for them until we can find them loving homes. We also work to improve the health of community cats who live outdoors, including spaying and neutering them.
The part-time volunteer Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director will keep track of our lists of donors, friends, volunteers, and staff. The admin will screen calls for the Executive Director, and once trained, take calls and respond to emails from the public regarding a great variety of cat issues.
The Admin will help to monitor the available cats appearing on the website for accuracy, and learn when a cat’s status needs to be changed with help from the shelter staff and volunteers. A willingness to learn to enter data on cats into our PetPoint system would be very helpful.
Knowledge of Constant Contact would be a plus, as would knowledge of WordPress so this person could post to our website, or a willingness to learn. The number of hours per week can be negotiated. This volunteer position is flexible, and much of the work can be done from home, while meetings and conversations with staff and volunteers will be in the shelter office in Morgan Hill.
If interested, please send your resume to Kathleen.marvin@towncats.org. Thank you!

About Town Cats
Location:
PO Box 1828, Morgan Hill, CA 95038, US
Mission Statement
Town Cats is a non-profit volunteer-based no-kill cat and kitten adoption center/shelter and feral cat advocacy organization dedicated to enriching the lives of homeless cats and kittens in the south Santa Clara county through an aggressive rescue and adoption program, TNR (trap, neuter, return), and public education.
Description
Town Cats works to alleviate the suffering of stray, abandoned, unwanted, and feral cats in Santa Clara County. We sponsor innovative programs to help cats in traditional shelters in our county, as well as community cats who live outdoors. We educate the public about the cat overpopulation problem, and provide people with the tools to become part of the solution. Town Cats supports individuals who want to help through aggressive spay/neuter and cat care programs, and by providing vet care and cat food to low income cat guardians, fosters, or owners. We also find permanent, safe, and loving homes for the homeless house cats and kittens in our care.
