NC GreenPower will be attending the International Festival in Raleigh. We will set up an information table where people attending the market can ask questions and learn more about NC GreenPower.
NC GreenPower is a nonprofit promoting renewable energy and carbon offset projects. We provide grant funding for K-12 schools to install solar PV and provide incentive payments to renewable energy generators to put clean energy back on the grid.
Volunteers will be responsible for greeting event goers, answering brief questions about our program and handing out promo items, such as our recycled newspaper pencils and brochures. Help us spread the word about our new solar schools pilot program, providing grants for schools to install solar PV!
Online training will be provided. Please sign up here https://doodle.com/poll/gbz8ntfbrqwuzygu

Mission Statement
NC GreenPower is an independet nonprofit improving North Carolina's environment by supporting renewable energy, carbon offset projects and providing grants for educational solar PV installations at K-12 schools.
Description
Headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, NC GreenPower is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to improve the quality of the environment in North Carolina through a statewide program that connects consumers with green energy and carbon offset providers. We also provide grants for solar installations at K-12 schools. Contributions are given by individuals and businesses either directly to us, or through their utility.
The NC GreenPower Speakers Bureau was created to help carry the message of our mission to all corners of North Carolina. Our volunteers assist us in staffing outreach event for us and providing free presentations to any group, business or organization that has an interest in learning more about clean energy alternatives, carbon offsets and their benefits. The Speakers Bureau also strives to increase participation in the NC GreenPower program, providing economic, environmental, and health benefits to all citizens of North Carolina.
Training sessions are periodically held for new volunteers. These sessions include tips about presenting, speaking points regarding the program, and instructions for using the speaker toolkit, provided at no cost.
