9/11 Day is the nation’s largest annual day of charitable engagement. In 2013, more than 47 million people from through the U.S. and in 150 countries observed September 11 by performing good deeds that help others. The goal of 9/11 Day is to provide a positive way for all people to forever remember and pay tribute to the 9/11 victims, honor those that rose in service in response to the attacks, and remind people of the importance of working more closely together in peace to improve our world.
Please join us as we work to replace damaged fencing in Mast Park West. We are looking for some skilled volunteers who are comfortable handling an auger and a sawzall, as well as regular volunteers who are interested in making an impact on this special day. All participants are welcome!
The event will have two shifts. One from 9 - noon and the other from 1 - 4 pm. Please indicate in your response email, which shift you would like to sign up for. Snacks will be provided. Please wear clothes that can get a little dirty. Close toed shoes are required. Community service hours may be verified.
For more information or to RSVP, please contact us at volunteer@sandiegoriver.org or 619-297-7380.
