Interested in event planning? Gain real world experience by joining the San Diego River Park Foundations Auction Event Committee! Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in designing the décor for the auction
- Securing auction donations
- Retrieving auction donations from local businesses in the San Diego County area
- Assisting with the auction lay out before the event begins
- Brainstorming new businesses to approach for auction donations
This is a fun opportunity that will not only teach you event planning skills but will also teach you how to engage community members and build professional relationships.

Mission Statement
The San Diego River Park Foundation is dedicated to fostering stewardship and appreciation of the region’s namesake waterway. In order to protect and enhance the San Diego River as a place for recreation, habitat, and nature discovery, we are dedicated to engaging people to be stewards of the River and working towards the vision of a 52 mile, river-long system of parks, open spaces, and community places.
Description
We organize many different volunteer stewardship activities each month. River Cleanups, native plant gardening, habitat restoration, volunteer leadership, water quality testing, outreach and education, special event committees, technical committees and more.
