In order to make the KidWorks Classic Golf Tournament a profitable fundraiser, Corporate Sponsorships are a must to offset golf related costs. The tournament attracts high level executives from Orange County’s top industries. Our goal is to raise over $110,000 to support the afterschool programs and support services for over 1,000 children, youth and families who are served weekly at KidWorks. To do this, we need cash and in-kind sponsorships from local businesses. Sponsorships range from $7,500 to $500. Donations of golf related items for the golfers goodie bags and wine, beer and liquor are also needed.
The Sponsorship sub-committee will work under the leadership of the Sponsorship Chair and in cooperation with KidWorks’ Corporate Relations Manager. Committee members have the goal of securing cash and in-kind sponsorships totaling $65,000 by January 2015. For sponsors who commit early they will be invited to a VIP Sponsorship event in late September.
Sponsorship Sub-Committee Job Duties:
1. Attend regular sub-committee meetings which are usually held monthly and when requested by sub-committee chair, full event committee meetings. (Meetings may be via conference call or in person.)
2. Identify companies who are potential sponsors for a golf tournament.
3. Make follow up phone calls to companies on the master solicitation list to ensure they received the sponsorship materials.
4. Submit appropriate donation forms and letters for solicited items
5. Communicate updates with Sponsorship Sub-Committee Chair and the Corporate Relations Manager.
6. Spread the word about KidWorks Classic Golf Tournament and KidWorks.
7. Assist with sponsors on the event day.
