Description

Since 1993 KidWorks has been working to restore at-risk communities in Central Santa Ana. We currently operate three learning centers. Our aim is to provide a safe place in the community for children, youth, and adults to be encouraged, challenged, and supported. Some of the services we offer are after-school tutoring, computer help, a library, creative arts classes, a state licensed preschool and mentoring for teens.

In 2009, I was fortunate to be personally recruited by who was then the Volunteer Director for Kidworks Non-Profit center, Ric Seaver. From the very beginning he was engaged along with the whole team to make every volunteer’s experience successful. Needless to say, I was taken away. By the end of the school year, I received the Volunteer of the Year Award for volunteering over 100 hours during that school year. I has actively engaged and committed to my students, staff and volunteer s, all of which I build great bonds with. If you want to opportunity to connect one-on-one with the students and/or staff, Kidworks is the place. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The kids are full of positive energy making the atmosphere fun and worth being. It was a life time reward to have had the opportunity to volunteer as a tutor at Kidworks. I highly recommend it.

KidWorks is a place that treasures its volunteers and where you'll know you are making a difference in the lives of children and youth from central Santa Ana. Training is provided on a regular basis and KidWorks is very flexible so that volunteers can work with kids at whatever grade or age level they prefer. The charity is not so large as to be impersonal nor too small; it's established and successful.
