Sales Floor Assistant serves as a greeter to provide a welcoming atmosphere for potential customers; provides customer count, assists customers in locating merchandise, answers questions and assits cashier.
Office Assistant interacts with public and Habitat staff; answers phone; uses computer to maintain and update files.
It's the largest-standing garage sale in the Mid-Hudson Valley, and everything sold at the ReStore will benefit Habitat for Humanity's ongoing effort to build affordable homes for the needy, said Gary Heckleman, Ulster County Habitat's associate site director.

To enrich the community through volunteer placements that utilize the talents, interests and experience of persons 55 and older,

Provide valuable volunteer services that address the needs of the community and affect a measurable difference.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY!
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, day care centers, police departments, hospitals and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
