We will begin offering our Family Education Program again after the New Year! In this program, mothers attend ESL classes while their children receive simultaneous homework assistance. We need tutors to work one-on-one with the children (ages 5 - 18). Many of the mothers who work on the backside of Churchill Downs struggle to help their children with homework due to their own education and English language experience. We rely heavily on dedcated volunteers to act as tutors and mentors to the children who attend this after school program. It takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 - 7:00. We ask our volunteers to make a weekly commitment to volunteer either Tuesday or Thursday. Please let us know if you are interested in making this commitment to help a child learn and succeed!
