A personal care facility that provides services to disabled and elderly residents is in need of a grounds keeper to provide lawn mowing and maintenence on a weekly basis. All equipment, including a very nince riding mower, will be provided by the facility. It is not necessary to come on the same day each week or commit to doing every aspect of the lawn, but comunication with the maintenence manager is necessary to be able to coordinate lawn care on a weekly basis. The serenity of a well kept lawnscape provides immeasurable benefits to those of us unfortunate enough to suffer disabilities.

Mission Statement

RSVP of the Capital Region's mission is to provide meaningful volunteer opportunities for persons 55 years of age and older that provide measurable value to communities in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York counties.

Description

RSVP of the Capital Region, Inc. (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) is a volunteer-based organization funded by AmeriCorps, the federal agency for national service. We have been serving the Central PA region for almost 50 years. We recruit, train and place volunteers in not-for-profit agencies, schools, government offices, hospitals and senior residences. RSVP passionately promotes seniors as powerful contributors to our neighborhoods and community organizations that desperately need additional human resources.

Volunteers often tap their wealth of experience and wisdom and channel it in new directions. We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities available. Volunteers mentor and tutor disadvantaged children, respond to natural disasters, deliver meals to seniors, transport seniors to appointments, offer free tax preparation, and more. We help volunteers give back to their communities based on their available time and interests. Volunteers choose how often they serve, where they serve and when they want to serve. There are opportunities for volunteers to serve from a few hours a week up to 40 hours per week. Make giving back your second act and join RSVP today!
