In our community, many families cannot afford new clothes for their school-aged children, which can hinder both attendance and successful learning. Together with our community, WVCS* is able to provide hundreds of families with these much needed back-to-school clothes through our Back to School Shopping Spree event, sending children back to school with improved confidence and self-esteem.
At the Back to School Shopping Spree event, children are given a $100-150 gift certificate to shop for brand new back-to-school clothes. We are currently looking for volunteer Chaperones to help ensure that this event is a success.
