If you are interested in helping seniors with transportation and enjoy talking to people, but cannot drive others, this is a great opportunity. We need help answering the phone, answering basic questions and taking down requests for rides. RYDE is a senior transportation program for adults over 65 who live in Campbell, Cupertino and the San Jose zip codes of 95129 & 95130. We operate Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. Speaking another language is a plus; we have many seniors who speak Mandarin, Spanish, Vietnamese, etc.

You will be driving participating senior adults to grocery stores, medical appointments and other local destinations within Santa Clara County. You would be helping those in your community reach their desired destinations and prevent someone from being homebound. We operate Monday through Friday, 8AM to 4PM. We are looking for Monday morning volunteers from 8am-12noon. Volunteers sort through food donations, stock our shelves and serve our clients in our Food Pantry. West Valley Community Services (WVCS)* Food Pantry volunteers are a vital part of our organization. This is a great opportunity for volunteers that like to get moving and serve clients in a direct way! Responsibilities include: providing direct customer service to our clients set up and clean up of the food pantry unloading, sorting and stocking donated goods Volunteers are asked to volunteer for 1 shift per week, for at least 6 consecutive weeks. Training is provided on site and closed-toed shoes are required for safety. The Monday morning shift is from 8am-12noon at our office in Cupertino. *West Valley Community Services (WVCS) is a basic needs organization that serves people in need in the Cupertino, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, and West San Jose areas. The mission of WVCS is to encourage the sharing of community resources, to provide basic human needs in a caring and dignified environment, and to provide opportunities for volunteers to participate in WVCS' activities.

West Valley Community Services (WVCS)* is looking for 1 or 2 volunteers to assist with Friday morning grocery pickup. This shift is from approximately 9 am-10 am. Volunteers must be 21 years of age or older and hold a valid Driver's License. Volunteers would drive our company van to pick up the donations. This is a great way to start your day and give back to the community! WVCS has wonderful relationships with local grocery stores to provide clients with fresh produce and bread, things that many typical food pantries cannot provide. In order to provide these goods to clients, we look for volunteers to help us pick up these donated groceries and bring them into the food pantry. *West Valley Community Services (WVCS) is a basic needs organization that serves people in need in the Cupertino, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, and West San Jose areas. West Valley Community Services (WVCS)* is looking for 1-2 volunteers to do Monday morning Grocery pickup. This shift is from approximately 8:00 am-9:30 am. Volunteer(s) would be accompanied by a staff member who is familiar with the pick up until the volunteer(s) become comfortable on their own. Volunteers drive the van to the store, weigh and load the donations, then drive them back to WVCS. The food goes straight to our Food Pantry where it is available to our clients that day.
