Students currently enrolled as Emergency Management majors have an opportunity to gain experience for their resume through a volunteer internship. Assigned to the Volunteer Polk office, the lead Emergency Special Function 15 Volunteers and Donations, learn and assist in the preparations of managing emergency volunteers. You will have an opportunity to attend and participate with county-wide emergency responders in monthly Emergency Preparation AdvisaryCouncil (EPAC). Become familiar with emergency management software, "Web EOC" and participate in disaster trainings. Assignment is flexible to students availability within the program's hours of operations. Applicants should submit a resume reflecting any related course work or experiences and complete a Volunteer internship application.
