Help us help connect people in need with nutritious food, nutrition education and CalFresh (formerly food stamps). Volunteers are needed for: food pantry distribution, outreach at food banks, health/information fairs and the community at large; also for clerical tasks in the Modesto and Stockton offices.
The Central Valley produces food for the whole country, but many residents struggle with hunger and poor nutrition. Food insecurity is defined as the lack of access to nutritious food on a consistent basis. Children and families make up a large part of the food insecure population, but there are also seniors, the homeless, the unemployed and under-employed and many others who need your help.

Catholic Charities partners with others in advocating for justice and in assisting those in need by providing help for today and hope for tomorrow. CC Nutrition Assitance Services seeks to reduce hunger, poor nutrition and food insecurity in Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Tuolumne Counties. Our new Senior Assisted Transportation Program provides transportation to medical appointments and grocery store for our vulnerable seniors in the community.
