Do you love to dance AND give back to your community? Do you have some background in Ballroom or other kinds of group dancing (Swing, salsa, etc.)? Then we want YOU to come volunteer with the lively senior residents at St. Patrick's Terrace in Oakland! The residents are looking for a creative outlet in which to learn new dance moves that they can share with one another. Come help get them grooving!

ABOUT THE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM: SAHA's Volunteer Coordinator, who supports volunteers and supplies all materials needed for the activity. Please note that we are only able to accommodate those with M-F 9AM-5PM availability, with the exception of some One-Time Events. In the interest of offering consistent social activities for our residents, we expect that volunteers will offer activities weekly or twice a month at a regular time and day. Residents greatly appreciate and look forward these activities as well as enjoying the company of volunteers who make them possible. Please sign up today!

By offering consistent, volunteer-led programing, we hope to build community at each of our properties, providing accessible socialization alternatives and allowing our senior residents to age in place. Description
The purpose of the SAHA's Volunteer Program is to improve the quality of living and promote health and well-being for Satellite Housing's residents. Volunteers will help foster community by facilitating activities for the residents, such as exercise groups, art classes, discussion groups, providing health and wellness information, leading or participating in games, assisting with special events, etc. The residents really appreciate the effort that is put forth by the volunteers, and look forward to the weekly interactions.
