  1. Provide introductory computer training for clients, many of whom have minimal or no prior computer experience
  2. Introduce the client to the menu of offerings available over the system and help the client make selections appropriate to their interests and needs.
  3. Help the client master and enjoy the selected offerings and more
  4. Respond to the client’s needs for technical assistance and system trouble shooting in a patient and reassuring manner
  5. Work with the client on a regular basis to enhance their benefits from the available offerings, including a gradual broadening of the amount and variety of system usage potential
  6. Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence in the client community and a high level of client comfort in the use of the VSC.
  7. Work with the Center for Healthy Living as part of a team to achieve the objectives of the VSC program.
  8. Visit new clients homes to achieve system set up and introductory training
  9. Be responsive to client problems through telephone, email, or home visits, taking the clients communication preferences and comfort level into account
  10. Seek further technical help for situations that are beyond area of expertise
  11. Maintain a regular and on-going series of telephone, email or home visit contacts with each client to assure satisfaction and increase the value added for VSC client(s)
  12. Continually update knowledge of the system and the system’s offerings so as to maximize value to the client
  13. Inform Center for Healthy Living management of volunteer activities and schedules and conscientiously adhere to agreed schedules and client appointments
  14. Maintain and submit the required activity reports in a timely manner
  15. Attend supervision with Center for Healthy Living management on a monthly basis and provide regular client feedback.
