Looking to make a real difference in your own community? WVCS* Fresh Fridays Food Sorting volunteers help unload, sort, store, and shelve food that is donated from our local Farmer's Market to be made available to clients shopping at our no-cost grocery store. Every Friday afternoon, WVCS clients are invited to take home fresh fruits and vegetables donated from vendors at our local Farmer's Market. This is their opportunity to collect nutritious food that they have identified as their biggest need.

Food Sorting volunteers will help unload our van stocked with Farmer's Market donations, sort through the donations and create ~50 boxes full of a diverse selection of fruits and vegetables for each client to take home. This weekly shift will last around 3 hours, but the time really does fly by! This is a great opportunity for volunteers who are able to work independently, and are organized, hard working, and passionate about helping those in need.

Open Shifts include:

Every Friday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM (3 volunteers needed)

*West Valley Community Services (WVCS) is a basic needs organization that serves people in need in the Cupertino, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, and West San Jose areas.
