ORGANIZATION: Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama

Unit leaders are needed for the Madison County Day Camp in Huntsville. This camp provides opportunities to experience "camp life and still go home at night" and is designed for girls in grades K-8. Everything is well planned and organized for volunteers who will help guide girls through a fun-filled week of projects and activities. In return, we will discuss how Girl Scouts can help you, as a volunteer, reach your personal and professional goals. This is a great opportunity to showcase your skills especially if you have a background or are seeking a future in education. This is also a great place for science buffs to shine as many of the activites/projects relate to the environment. Ideally, it would be great to have one volunteer lead a group Monday, July 8 - Thursday July 11, from 8am until 3:30 and/or Friday, July 12 from 8 am until 6pm. However, volunteering even one day would be greatly appreciated! If you want to volunteer where your are valued and where your time makes a difference consider Girl Scouts where we build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. To ask any questions, contact Brantley Kirk, Community Development Manager, at bkirk@girlscoutsnca.org or 256-883-1020, ext 1233.
