The Woodland Tree Foundation is planting native valley oak tree seedlings along both sides of Highway 113 between Woodland and Davis to beautify this highway corridor with a canopy of trees.
Volunteers will work in teams to dig small holes along the highway, and plant, mulch and stake tree seedlings. Volunteers will be provided shovels, gloves, safety vests, and hardhats. Volunteers must be 18 years or older.
Contact the Tree Foundation to learn of the Saturday morning plantings, which occur during the fall and winter of 2016-2017, and to volunteer. The Tree Foundation will also work with volunteer organizations to schedule a planting date that meets your needs.
