Vietnam Veterans of America is the only Vietnam Veterans organization chartered by Congress. It is the nation's largest.

VVA provides a positive forum for social and emotional interaction among members. It is instrumental in providing a strong, united voice for resolving issues of vital importance to veterans and their families...locally, statewide, and nationally.

Because of VVA volunteer and financial support we are able to help carry on good works for children, the handicapped, the homeless. We help serve veterans in VA hospitals and the community.

My father and his brother were both drafted at the same time. Thank god my grandmother went to her senator and fought for both her sons not to go to vietnam at the same time. My father stayed back and became a drill sargeant at fort Dix and trained many men to go over and fight during vietnam . My dad has many painful experiences of special lower educational 18 yr olds that my dad felt they should not have gone over to vietnam cause he new they were special could not load a rifle etc! He went to his majors but they sent them anyway. That really upset my father. I want to volunteer for this war in so many ways. I have always been a generous person and I want my dad to be proud of me . Thx
