Mission Statement

ACE Charter Schools mission is to help low-achieving students change their academic trajectory away from failure and accelerate them toward proficiency as a stepping-stone to college. Every school decision is based on ACE's number one goal of ensuring that all of the school's students will enter 9th grade proficient in English Language Arts and Math as measured by the formerly the California Standards Test, and now Smarter Balanced Assessments, and will possess the skills, knowledge, and work ethic to thrive in a rigorous college-prep high school curriculum.

Description

ACE serves students who live in predominantly low-income communities. ACE Franklin McKinley, located in the Santee neighborhood, opened it's door on August 18th or 2014. Like the Mayfair neighborhood, Santee also is a high-need urban areas where college graduation rates are low. ACE Schools are designed for students who lag behind their peers academically, who are disconnected from their schools, and who may be disconnected from their families as well. The educational program is structured to maximize learning for these students. ACE focuses its attention on research-driven instructional strategies that have been successful in similar communities
