Description
For Otis Sake is a volunteer and foster organization with no paid staff or current physical location. The organization utilizes fosters as the transitional and transformational variable to prepare all rescued animals for a life of happiness in a stable home. For Otis Sake services a wide geographic area, pulling from high kill shelters in West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Kentucky, Texas, and Maryland. Since they have no paid staff or a facility to maintain, all donations received go directly to providing food, medical care, medication, rehabilitation, and training for all rescued animals to prepare them for their adoptive families. The organization has not shied away from tough cases and many of the animals they rescue have been severely neglected and require extensive care to return them to a happy, healthy condition. In addition to pulling from high kill shelters, For Otis Sake works closely with the local Hospice to help patients identify homes for their pets, providing them with peace of mind and ensuring that these animals will not end up in shelters.
