The event will encompass a 12 block area and is a combination of DSI's Taste of Downtown, the Springfield Jaycees Capital City Celebration, and the Secretary of State's Ice Cream Social.

This year's celebration will be held on July 3 & 4, 2009. The event will begin at 5PM till midnight on Friday, July 3 and from Noon until midnight on Saturday, July 4.

We are looking for volunteers to assist this year, so if you are willing and available, please let us know. You can respond via email to CapitalBicentennialCelebration@yahoo.com
