Mission Statement

The program provides a way for students to gain an insider’s view of our judicial system. A team of 6-10 students compete against their peers by analyzing and trying a fictional case in a mock trial court. Students improve their critical thinking and public speaking skills while teachers touch on Social Studies, Government, and CTE TEKS!

Description

The program provides a way for students to gain an insider’s view of our judicial system. A team of 6-10 students compete against their peers by analyzing and trying a fictional case in a mock trial court. Students improve their critical thinking and public speaking skills while teachers touch on Social Studies, Government, and CTE TEKS!

Regionals are held in late January through early February across the state. The winners of these competitions advance to the State competition in Dallas in March. The final champion team will then represent the State of Texas at the National Tournament held in May.
