The Boards and Commissions play an important role in city government. It is our goal to reach out to a wide variety of community members with backgrounds that will represent the community for a better Palo Alto.

Description

The City of Palo Alto has nine Boards and Commissions. The purpose of these Boards and Commissions is to review and advise the City Council on policies for the benefit of Palo Alto residents. An appointment to a Board or Commission gives citizens of Palo Alto an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the governance of the city. Board members help shape the future of Palo Alto by applying their knowledge, experience, judgment, and expertise to the Board or Commission they serve on.
