Mission Statement

The mission of UnderDog Rescue of Florida is to rescue, provide sanctuary and ultimately rehabilitate surrendered, stray and neglected dogs. We are committed to placing dogs in loving homes compatible with age, personality, temperament, and/or special needs. We also provide positive support during and after the adoption process. UnderDog Rescue of Florida coordinates with other rescues to provide medical care, transports and placement in foster homes and eventually forever homes. We are an active resource in our community to provide assistance and education to control pet overpopulation, and to foster an awareness and compassion for all living things.

Description

UnderDog Rescue of Florida is not a physical shelter. Our animals are in foster homes until a forever home is found for them. Our dogs come from shelters to escape euthanasia, owner surrenders, and breeder dogs that are no longer of value because they aren't producing. These "throw-away" dogs get a second chance to show that, with love, they are devoted and loving companions!
