Position Responsibilities Customer Support: * Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email promptly and professionally. * Provide accurate information about products, services, and policies. * Assist with resolving customer issues and complaints. Order Processing: * Support order fulfillment, including order entry, tracking, and updates for online-exclusive products. * Process returns and exchanges, updating systems accordingly. Data Management: * Maintain accurate customer data in CRM systems. * Analyze and compile customer feedback and satisfaction metrics. Administrative Tasks: * Assist with filing, documentation, and organizing customer information. * Prepare reports and summaries for the customer service team. Team Support: * Collaborate with team members to improve service processes. * Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay updated on product changes and best practices. Problem-Solving: * Identify recurring customer issues and propose solutions. * Provide feedback for improving customer service procedures. Customer Engagement: * Assist with customer engagement initiatives, such as surveys and follow-ups. * Help create content for FAQs and customer service guides. Qualifications & Skills * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Familiarity with CRM software is an asset. Attributes: * Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. * Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. * Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. * Positive attitude and eagerness to grow in a customer service environment. What you need to know: An on-line orientation session is required before your first volunteer shift. All volunteers must be a minimum of 16 years old. Volunteers under the age of 18 require a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Shifts are self-scheduled via Online Registration. Volunteer shift is 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, 12:00pm - 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Able to lift and be on feet Volunteers are required to wear CSA approved green label safety shoes. (If needed are available onsite for volunteers). Central Distribution Centre Location: (101 Alexdon road, North York, ON M3J 2B5) Position Responsibilities: Organizing Donations: Sorting and arranging products for easy access and retrieval. Packaging Operations: Preparing donations for shipment with appropriate packaging. Setting Prices: Applying accurate pricing information to donations. Loading and Unloading Trucks: Safely handling the movement of goods onto and off trucks. Skid Wrapping: Securing donations onto pallets using wrapping techniques. Material Management: Handling Donations within the warehouse efficiently. Cleaning Items: Ensuring donations and work areas are clean and organized. Position Benefits: Gain practical experience. Volunteer Position: Habitat Retail Volunteer Habitat for Humanity GTA is greater Toronto’s most recognized provider and advocate of solutions that tackle our region’s housing crisis. We focus on creative solutions to address the affordable housing crisis in Toronto, Brampton, Caledon, York Region and Durham Region. With the help of volunteers, donors and community partners, we unlock change for generations by bringing the benefits of home ownership to more people and communities. Since 1988, Habitat GTA has built 23 new communities, empowering more than 500 families. In support of our home building operations, Habitat GTA operates a retail home improvement store called Habitat ReStore, which sells donated home furnishings, appliances, and renovation materials, with all proceeds helping us build more homes. Store Location : Habitat GTA Oshawa Restore (200 John Street W , Oshawa ON , L1J 2B4 ) Volunteer role description: Come with a willingness to learn from experienced volunteers and staff and to work as part of a team and become a habitat volunteer ambassador or mentor. Greeting and customer service in store and over the phone regarding donations, store promotions, return policy, and more. Supporting our eCommerce sales platform-with staging, photography and posting online. Product display set ups and merchandising. Product pricing, assembly, and repair of items. Due to the nature of some store the tasks volunteers may be asked to lift heavy objects (furniture, appliances, bathroom fixtures, windows, doors) Can or May perform heavy lifting (30 + pounds) with support equipment i.e., pump trucks and carts. The position requires regular walking, standing, sitting, and stair climbing. Uniform required for volunteers to wear are CSA approved green triangle label safety. Shoes (some available on site to borrow), cargo pants/jeans and non-branded shirt. A commitment of 4 hours minimum per shift and open 7 days a week and, there is always a variety of tasks to do. Our items are donated from businesses and individuals and undergo inspection and testing to ensure they meet our high-quality standards . Warehouse Location: (101 Alexdon road, North York, ON M3J 2B5) Position Responsibilities: As an eCommerce Operations Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day activities of our eCommerce team. Your responsibilities will include: 1) Product Staging and Photography a. Work closely with the team to prepare products for photography, ensuring they are clean and presentable. b. Assist in capturing high-quality images of products, creating visually appealing posts. 2) Photography Editing a. Use editing software to enhance and optimize product images for online listings. b. Ensure that product photos are aligned with our brand's aesthetic and quality standards. 3) Inventory Sorting a. Organize and sort incoming inventory, ensuring accurate product counts. b. Build, assemble and measure products for online product postings. c. Help maintain an organized and efficient storage area. 4) Online Product Postings a. Collaborate with the E-commerce team to create Shopify product listings. b. Conduct research on copywriting techniques to craft compelling product descriptions. c. Assist in potential pricing research to ensure competitive and market-appropriate pricing strategies. Qualifications / Skills / Physical Requirements: Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for photography. Basic knowledge of photography and image editing software is a plus. Self-motivated, responsible, and eager to learn. Effective communication and teamwork skills. · Positive attitude towards tasks and teamwork.
