Mission Statement
The New Rochelle Humane Society, founded in 1911, is a private, not-for-profit animal shelter dedicated to providing individual loving care for lost, abandoned, injured, and mistreated animals in 17 communities in Westchester County. We take in over 500 dogs and 700 cats each year.
Description
New Rochelle Humane Society offers safe refuge, medical care, and an abundance of love to every animal in its care. Last year we received hundreds of unwanted, abused and neglected animals and hundreds of new homes were found for them. Shelter Staff match potential owners of cats and dogs suitable to their lifestyles. Every animal is provided with a comprehensive health care program that includes vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter, and a free vet visit from a list of participating veterinarians.
