Mission Statement

Since 1980, Rainbow Chimes provides high-quality Early Education and Care to families with children aged two months to twelve years old in the greater Huntington, NY community. The emphasis is on early, emergent leadership for children and expanding knowledge and skills for staff. We strive to serve a widely diverse population from all economic strata. Our satellite site serves teenage mothers at Western Suffolk BOCES. In addition, we provide local businesses with a vitally needed emergency / back-up care program for their employees.

Description

Children attend professionally-staffed nurseries and classrooms on a full- or part-time basis. Monday-Friday. We use the High/Scope developmentally-appropriate cognitively-oriented active-learning curriculum, which encourages "learning by doing". In addition, we collaborate with the Huntington School District to mange the Universal Pre-Kindergarten for area four year olds.
