Colorado High School Charter is transforming the alternative education experience by igniting the potential within each of the diverse young people we serve. CHSC ensures students’ personal and academic growth by creating tailored curricula, a supportive school environment, and community partnerships. We empower our students to succeed in life and positively contribute to their families and communities by offering them the freedom and resources to pursue a post-secondary path aligned with their individualized goals

Description

CHSC is a small, supportive environment for students who have struggled personally or academically in the conventional high school setting. Every student has a Student Advocate whose primary role is to help remove the barriers in and out of school to support each student so they can be successful. CHSC has six, 6-week blocks that give students the opportunity for frequent feedback and credit recovery. We enroll new students at the beginning of each 6-week block as well. CHSC courses are instructor led and consist of four essential classes: Math, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. Students take two elective classes - one covering everyday math and the other social emotional skill development. 100% of CHSC seniors graduate with a clear post-secondary plan and 100% will be accepted to at least one post-secondary institution
