Mission Statement

The Salida Circus was established in 2007 to offer circus training as a personal development and community - building tool. Salida Circus is committed to providing circus training in a nurturing, non-competitve atmosphere, and to build inter-generational bonds through free performances at senior centers and nursing homes.

Description

Salida Circus offers weekly circus workshops in acrobatics, juggling, stiltwalking, trapeze, lyra, clowning, plate-spinning and tumbling. Salida Circus holds three annual camps and performans regularly throughout Colorado at festivals, fairs, parades, libraries and museums. Salida Circus also forms exchange projects with other like-minded organizations including La Cambalacha in Guatemala, Circus WAVE in Northern Ireland, Sligo Youth Circus in Ireland and Circus Joy in California.
