Mission Statement

Mission Statement The Alchemy Sky Foundation brings the healing power of music to those who need it. We partner with organizations in the community as well as a broad network of music and health professionals to create needs-based programs for our clients. The Alchemy Sky Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Description

ASF organizes, funds and facilitates group music therapy workshops for nursing home residents at the Veterans Association (V.A.) Medical Center. With over 40 workshops since the program’s inception in October of 2014, ASF works with the medical leadership at the V.A.’s nursing home division (Community Living Center - CLC) in order to raise the overall quality of life and improve the mental and physical health of the residents. Each on-site workshop last approximately 60 minutes and services up to 20 residents. A board-certified music therapist and musician/volunteer are present at each workshop.
