Mission Statement

Los Cuartos is a nonprofit organization sponsor by the Miguel Angel Barberena A.C. a pioneer in promoting environmental education, with the principal objective of developing programs and projects in environmental education; training; and protecting natural resources and conserving bio-diversity as fundamental tools for sustained development.

Description

In 1990, a group of persons interested in the conservation of natural resources formed a civil corporation with the purpose of developing environmental education courses in the State of Aguascalientes, Mexico. Thus born was the Miguel Angel Barberena Vega Foundation. Parallel to the creation of this institution, restoration and conditioning work was done on an 18th-century ex-hacienda, where the Los Cuartos Ecological Center was established.
