Mission Statement

The Senior Information & Referral Service is a new program for our local senior citizens being offered through the support of the Youth & Community Foundation of SVE. A group of volunteers have collected information from all of our local and surrounding agencies and put it all together in a database. When you have a need or know someone who does, just give us a call! We will try to get you the answers or assistance you need!

Description

The History:
The Senior Information & Referral Service is a group of caring community members who joined forces to come to the assistance of seniors citizens in the Spencer Van Etten Community. They worked for over a year collecting resources and information pertaining to services for seniors. The information was compiled into a data base which has information from heating assistance agencies to home health aides. In addition to their resource book, the S.I.R.S. Committee is dedicated to providing programming and other services to our local seniors.

Our Goal:
Our goal is to find a way to meet the needs of our local seniors. More specifically, we would like to find a way to help seniors live out their days in the comfort of their own homes by finding the services necessary for the individual. We are committed to being a source of warmth and friendliness to a neighbor in need.
