The Mental Health Association in Fayette County recognizes and accepts its public responsibility to maintain a safe and secure environment for both the consumer and our employees.We believe that every consumer should have the opportunity to become self-sufficient and involved in a program of self-empowerment.Supervision execised over consumers will be fair an professionally responsible.We recognize our responsibility to serve qualified consumers all services through the Mental Health Association.We are sensitive to the concerns and needs of the consumers. Together we'll strive for the prevention of mental illness, promotion of mental health, and improved services for people with mental illness.We recognize that our greatest strength lies within our human resources- the men and women who are the Mental Health Association.

Description

The Mental Health Association is dedicated to offering free services to all Fayette County consumers of mental health services. Our services include 2 Drop- in Centers. Drop- in Centers provide a safe, healthy envionment for consumers to socialize. We include free transportation for those who require it. We also have a Compeer Program, which matches volunteers with referred mental health consumers. Our agency serves as a representative payee for many consumers. Our rep payee assists consumers who have difficulty with managing their own funds. Our CST's and IMT's conduct surveys of consumers, which aids them in receiving proper and functional services. Our HealthChoices Ombudsman assists consumers with issues of complaints and grievances. Our PIN representative educates parents on their rights concerning their children and the school system.
