Description
• Before/after school services for children.-these services will be of an educational, recreational and vocational orientation.
• Secondary and Post Secondary learning opportunities to include ACT/SAT, GRE, GMAT, LSAT Preparatory classes, Distance Learning for Collegiate, Graduate, Post Graduate and Vocational Studies
• Family strengthening programs and an intergenerational web of family services designed to work with single mothers, homeless and displaced families, young mothers, blended families, and families in crisis. Connected to this area will be a special health initiative with support services for those infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
• Anger management and conflict mediation programs for children and adults
• Vocational training centering
• Adult educational support services including literacy, GED and ESL programs.
• Youth Drop-in Center providing alternative programs and activities for teenagers and pre-teens
• Diversity and community building programs designed to bridge racial, economic, religious and other social barriers in the community.
• Develop programs that highlight the accomplishments and contributions of Women and Ethnic Minorities
• Provide technical support to small and emerging business in our community
• Partner with all Chambers of Commerce to develop economic empowerment programs that facilitate personal/community financial success
• Provide informational resources to business leaders and other employers that will encourage expanding employment opportunities, thrift and economic advancement
• Provide office and administrative space for new business during their incubation period
